Guinness Ad released

The Guardian posted the new Guinness ad today (and it’s made its way to YouTube already). I’m not sure if this is the end point of the treasure hunt or not, but I’ve asked the agency to confirm. Is this where everyone was looking for?

On the ad itself, it’s touted as the most expensive ad in Guinness history, which means it costs more than Noitulove which was 7 figures. I’m afraid I’m with Scamp on this one, there’s a little too much derivation going on here. Although I don’t agree with the complaints about the end product shot – the ads always finish on a product shot, at least this one is a little different.

    well … i do love advertising and this one clearly was inspired by the honda add but this one falls flat to impress me or make me giddy to watch it over and over again.

    Well i have seen this and i totally agree witn Nicole simon that is definately inspired by Honda. And i dont understand why they have to do such a long procedure to show a glass of book. its so stupid, give me a break
