That is not true trey is my father i was his first child i am 12 he was a great guy before he did drugs do not say he is a cold bloded killer cuz he is not and its not the guns fault it is the drugs fault beleive me i am soo sorry he hurt your mother but he had to grow up really fast cuz he dad was put in jail and he had some horrible experinces but he just carried on the tradition and i will not me n my little bro will pray for your family i am glad your mother is saved but please do not ever think that this only effects yall cuz his family is not proud nor is his mom and neither are me and my brother arent proud of not having a real father in our lives and now never cuz he is in jail forever and i dont know how old you are but you obviously dont see that you are not being immature what so ever in saying horrible things on the internet where everone can see think if his mother saw that you think she is happy about her son no that would kill her so you need to watch what you put on the internet ok!

hi katelyn im soo sorry for your loss im 12 years old and i am sorry about your grandmother i am treys 1st daughter and im sorrry that he hurt your grandmother but i am hurt to my dad is now in jail forever and i might never see him again bcuz of this i had to grow up really fast but the same thing happened to my dad he grew up to fast cuz he dad was put in jail so please understand and i heard ur grandmother was a christian well at least she is with god!

Hi I am 10 years old and I am Joy Glasglows Grand daughter! I thank you for all the comments I miss my grandma dearly and no one should ever violet someones property just to hurt them. I am glad though that she is up in heaven and couldn’t get hurt any more! I want you peoples to know that having a gun is a right not a punishment for another person! In love My grandma and my family you should never treat your family or friends bad because you don’t know what could happen. Bye

i am joy glasgows son i appreciate all your comments but lets clear one thing up owning guns is a constitutional right that miliken vacated when he chose to use drugs and beat women the chose he made was horrible i miss my mother terribly but it no more the guns fault than it is yours or mine , alvin is a coward and a cold blooded killer who drove for twenty minutes at approximately 4 am solely to kill my mother as she slept . i hope you can all find comfort in knowing she was saved and now resides in heaven. i struggle everyday knowing that someone went into her home and hurt her that is so hard to accept but i pray daily for justice to be served , and the rights of law abiding gun owners be upheld

I, too agree that gun stores should properly store guns as to help prevent theft. But why continue to target the gun stores, responsible gun owners, etc.? Let’s punish the real criminals.

Barb, I’m sorry to hear about the tragedy involving your daughter’s high-school boyfriend. I’m just glad you haven’t responded to the incident like others may have…call for more safeties, require gun safes, etc. Failure to properly handle the firearm is what caused this tragedy. Not the firearm itself. Learn from others’ mistakes. Let’s be more responsible next time, teach children responsibility, and not call for foam padding on every hard surface.

I believe people should have the right to own guns. If they take the people’s right to own guns the only one’s that will have guns are the bad guys. If someone breaks in your house and they have a gun doesn’t it make sense to have a gun to protect yourself?
People need to make sure their guns aren’t loaded so children do not hurt themselves.
My daughter’s boyfriend in high school accidently got killed because his friend pointed a gun at him and he didn’t know it was loaded. He pulled the trigger and it turned into a tragedy. People need to be responsible in that area.
When people snap mentally and they are out to kill someone they will do it. Guns or not.
I do agree with Sean that stores that sell guns should put those guns away at night in a place no one can just break into and steal the guns.

Oh, we do? How do you explain “no-issue” states, or “may-issue” states? Should whether or not you are allowed to exercise your free speech be up to your local authorities? You are yet to address the underlying problem with your argument. Take the title of this page, for example, “Gun Violence Claims Life of…” Why is “gun violence” at fault? Why not the PERSON who committed murder? If a person jumps off (or is thrown off of) a bridge, is the bridge at fault, and are the drivers who utilize it for its purpose at fault? Then why are thousands of Americans’ rights taken away because the lowest form of human life abuses liberty?

You mention gun theft as a problem. Locally, someone broke into a particular gun store and stole 70 handguns and a bunch of ammunition. So now there’s 70 more untraceable, deadly weapons in the hands of Philadelphia drug dealers and gang members. In Philly, seems like every month another policeman is being gunned down.
What would be wrong with requiring greater security from gun store owners? Jewelry stores clear out their cases and lock their diamonds in a safe each night, yet these guys busted a window and glass cases and made off with a cache of weapons. Stats or no, people will die as a result of those weapons and ammo being on the street.
