I was looking for a video of Billy Crystal’s spring training at-bat so I could break it down. (He has a pretty good eye. I’m impressed that he took three pitches — I’d be swinging wildy at anything. Plus, he made contact! All-in-all, he did a pretty good job.) I found the video. Lucky for you and I, it has a little extra bonus: commentary from a person who may or may not be drunk during the first at-bat. I’ll tell you one thing, his humor is timely. “They’ll bring out call-girls next!” He starts chiming in about the minute mark.
