Edgeworth, the “Demon Prosecutor” from the Phoenix Wright series, has moved up quickly to become one of gaming’s most beloved antagonists since his DS debut. He’s stuck up, snotty, confident and has a worse sense of humour than a calculus textbook…but he’s also troubled, faithful to his friends and oh so misunderstood.

(He’s also super hot for Phoenix Wright, according to the Internet’s female populace and perhaps some select males as well.)

It makes sense that Capcom would release a game from the prosecutor’s point of view. Writers are often told that it’s very hard to write from a villain’s perspective because their motives usually don’t inspire sympathy. How will Capcom do?

At the very end of the trailer, you’ll see some familiar faces flash by. I caught sight of Emma Skye and Will Powers, to name a couple. Am keeping my fingers crossed for an appearence by Jake Marshall.
