Gyakuten Kenji (Turnabout Prosecutor)
Okay, I know the title of this post is a little crazy, but there appears to be a trailer out for a spinoff of one of my favorite Nintendo DS game series, Ace Attorney. The new game takes Phoenix’s friend and fellow lawyer, Miles Edgeworth, on cases of his own in which he will point fingers and try to get people thrown in jail, just like any good prosecutor would do! The game is going to be entitled Gyakuten Kenji, which means “Turnabout Prosecutor” in English and all the trailer makes me want to do is learn how to speak Japanese. Because all the good games come out in Japan:
The game looks a little bit different than those in the Ace Attorney series and we’ll actually see people walking around in the game! Which is very unlike the Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice games which mainly feature lots of stills of people who only have moving mouths and the occasional wave of blowing hair. I mean, these games aren’t quite graphic intensive! But Gyakuten Kenji dares to take the DS graphics a bit farther. That DS is so going to choke with all that action!
It looks like there will be a few people from the cast of the Ace Attorney series involved in this game and will include such familiar faces as Dick Gumshoe. And. Um…. that’s about it. But, isn’t Dick Gumshoe like the best character in Phoenix Wright and so forth? I would have to say yes.
