Halloween, Treats, and a One-Time Only Trick

BOO! Did that scare you? Probably not. Hey, cut us some slack. We’re still recovering from last night’s candy OD (not that that’s stopped us from having two Halloween cupcakes this morning or interfered with our plans for more chocolate later).
That’s our take on treats. As for tricks, we have only one up our Banana Republic sweater, and that’s to thaw out the heart.
Oh, don’t go WTF-ing us. We’ll explain.
One of the running jokes on this blog is that we keep the heart in the freezer so it can stay good and cold. Every now and then we take it out for a thaw (and we have to be careful not to drop it on the floor. We like it frozen solid, not shattered!).
But the time has come to thaw it once and for all, for the we to become just me, and for me to say goodbye to Gossip On Sports.
I thank anyone whose ever read and enjoyed the blog (’cause hey, why would I thank the people who didn’t enjoy it?). It’s been a lot of fun and I hope I’ve made at least two or three of you chuckle. Anything more than that would make me cocky. Just kidding. Sort of.
I won’t go all Oscar-speech on you, but I do want to add that I appreciate The Bee’s love and support, not to mention encouragement from readers Caesar and Portia, Prospero, Bacchus, Pat from Vero, Rachel from NC, and the other half of Team Revision (always invoke the code!).
I’m leaving the blogdom for now, but maybe not forever. I’m trying my hand at a few other creative projects as well. So before you do cartwheels of joy at my departure, remember . . . our paths may cross again some day, so be nice!
Wow, that marks the first, and last, time on this blog that I’ve ever encouraged anyone to be nice. Hmm . . . I suppose that means the thaw is complete.

Sorry to see you leave the blog. You were great.
Good luck with your new ventures.
Thanks . . . in many ways, sorry to go. I appreciate the well wishes! :)
There I go, being nice again . . . ;)
Hey Jodie,
I hate to see you go, but it was fun while it lasted, and I know you’ll create something fantastic as you work on those other creative pursuits!
Aw shucks, Rachel, thank you! Say, are you the Rachel from NC I mentioned? ;)
