Halo 3 preorders break 1M mark
If this sounds like déjà vu, don’t be surprised. Yes, Microsoft recently announced that preorders in North America for Halo 3 have exceeded the 1 million mark.
As we all know, retailers have begun taking preorders, allowing the masses to order one of the three versions of Halo 3 (there’s a standard edition, limited edition and “legendary” edition). According to Microsoft, demand for the “legendary” edition is expected to be sold out by the time the game launches on Sept. 25. They even claim that presales for Halo 3 are the fastest in video game history.
While this could all be true, we’d like to hear it officially from a third-party source, thank you.
After finding out that Halo 3 is a sponsor at Projekt Revolution this summer, my dislike for the franchise turned up a notch. Why? Because Projekt Revolution is a concert tour headlined by Linkin Park, which always causes me to shudder.
You know what would make me happy? If they released Halo 3 on Xbox 360 and PC (not Vista, PC!) at the same time. Also, stop dissing Linkin Park.
What did you mean by “PC”? Vista runs on PCs, you know. Do enlighten me on your personal distinction. ;)
My mistake, I should have said “XP.” As you know Windows Vista is required for playing Halo 2 on a PC, which in my opinion is the stupidest thing ever. So my comment should have read “(not Vista, XP!)”
Amen, Bird Man. While I agree with your idea on playing Halo 3 on the PC along with the 360 users, I shudder to think what the system requirements are.
If ever Halo 3 comes to the PC, it would surely be restricted to Vista, or whatever M$ OS is popular that time. I would expect punishing hardware, and perhaps aging visuals by the time they ever decide to let the PC users have a slice of that.
