MC Hammer’s new TV show Hammertime is premiering this Sunday on A&E and along with it has come a marketing campaign that includes a microsite — WatchHammertime.com. The show centers around the 90s mega celebrity and his family.
On the website, users can play games, sign up to get a personal phone call from MC Hammer, enter a sweepstakes for a VIP trip to Hammer’s Vegas concert, and much more. You are also encouraged to follow @MCHammmer on Twitter. The website is very interactive with polls, discussions, videos, mobile alerts and other components.
Additionally, a viral video about Hammertime was released on YouTube and has been viewed nearly a million times since June 4, 2009.
Over at EveryJoe, we are giving away a pair of gold lame Hammer pants, two autographed Hammertime posters and a $150 Amazon gift card.
The show premieres this Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 10pm ET/PT (9pmCT).

Hammertine marketing campaign are really very good and effective method of advertising.
My favorite thing about the 1990’s was the culture and entertainment! Movie’s like WHITE MEN CAN’T JUMP, music like MC Hammers and HADDAWAY’S “WHAT IS LOVE?” and just some of the most ridiculous but fun stuff that cannot be pulled off today. TV Show’s like “In Living Color”, “MARTIN” and “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”…. Vanilla Ice Ice Baby! No wars going on, good times!
