Hangover Cure: Bloody Caesars & Eggs Benny

This isn’t news to any of us, I’m sure. None the less I think it’s necessary to remind everyone just how perfect Eggs Benedict and Bloody Caesar’s are as a cure for a night of debauchery.

As the old saying goes it’s the Hair of the Dog and it’s oh so good! Although I wouldn’t say it’s the best thing for you it is however something to look forward to when you’re in bed cursing the night before.

I’ve made Caesars at home before and it’s nice to have the ingredients on hand (in case of a hangover emergency). But I’ve never attempted at making Eggs Benedict (usually because I crave them when I’m hungover) so I suggest you stick to your local brunch spot.

Caesars to many bartenders are annoying to make but if you love them as much as I do then you really won’t mind. In fact it becomes an art and no one Caesar is the same.

Ingredients:

Clamato Juice

Worcestershire Sauce

Tabasco Sauce

Vodka

Celery Salt

Green Olives, Pickles, and Limes for Garnish

Some like celery (that is the typical garnish) but I prefer something with flavor and something that is salty. That’s where the pickles and olives come in. I have also heard of places that serve grilled shrimp with their Caesars. Mmmm.

Take a tall rocks glass and wet the rim, then dip in celery salt. Fill the glass with ice, throw in your shot(s) of vodka. Put in Worcestershire and Tabasco depending on preference. Garnish!

Yes there are a few steps but it’s well worth it and you’ll be well on your way to hangover recovery. But I will warn you if you have more then 2 then your hangover may boomerang back.

That happened to me yesterday and I ended up back on the couch sleeping until 10pm. With that said it’s a tradition I’ll never give up because it’s the best time to hook up with your homies and go over all the hilarity of the night before.
