Happy (Belated) Blogiversary to Common Sense PR

Okay, so I missed my own blogging anniversary. It’s never too late for cake and candles.
My first post for Common Sense PR was on October 18, 2006, but the blog didn’t officially launch until December of that year.
I started off by providing a definition of public relations:
My Definition of PR: Listening to and influencing defined audiences to protect your organization’s reputation and motivate members of those audiences to act or think in a particular way.
Simpler Definition: Actively listening and reaching key people with impressions that positively affect their perception of your organization.
Even Simpler Definition: Building relationships.
To everyone I’ve created a relationship with through Common Sense PR, thanks for reading, commenting, e-mailing, and however else you’ve participated in the discussion of ideas and news.
To all the bloggers, podcasters and others out there who provide fodder for my commentary, or respond to themes I’m writing about, thank you.
Blogging would be a very lonely pursuit, if it weren’t for the exhanges that take place.
I’m looking forward to another year. If you haven’t left a comment yet, consider this an invitation to add your viewpoint sometime soon. This blog is the richer for comments by people who aren’t as wordy as I am!

Speaking of missing things, I’m only now catching up on back issues and I wanted to add my better late than never comments to yours. Happy anniversary to you and your blog and all the best in the next year. I’ve been a big fan since you started and I’ll be watching – even if I don’t get around to commenting all that often. That’s what happens when you get too dependent on feed readers.
