Hasbro Licenses Childhood Favs to EA

I’m not sure whether to be excited, or apprehensive. I’m a board game freak. We were one of those abnormally normal families when I was little, that actually did sit around the kitchen table and play Monopoly, Yahtzee, Sorry, and cards. Mind you, the idealism ended there, what with the viciously vindictive strategies, kicks under the table and shameful gloating that accompanied “family time”.

Now it looks like I can hook up with my deliquent immediates to relive old time via a wide variety of gaming platforms (including mobile, pc, and consoles) in early 2008. Finally I’ll get a chance to avenge my embarrassing defeat, wrangled solely through hotel placement in the slums of Monopoly. Here’s hoping that EA sticks to the classics, and that Hasbro has thought this through.
