Hate list – axelist

We’ve been talking about reputation this week on www.digitalmoneyworld.com and in particular, credit rating.
Well I don’t know about you, but I find this mail that arrived in my mailbox this morning, part of an alarming trend. A trend of anonymous attacks that any malcontent bored loser could launch at anytime on anybody.
This is indicative of a society that wants revenge, no I have no doubt there are lowlifes in business that deserve a hate list, but I will not be part of it.
It smacks of the kind of society I don’t like or want. If you have an AXE to grind with someone, if you’ll excuse the pun, then have the guts to take it up with them directly. I put this behaviour in the same class as hiring someone to go round and beat them up, or set their house on fire, it’s thuggery. And whats worse, Spineless thuggery!

Are you really angry at someone?
Somebody pi---d you off but it seems like there's nothing you can do about the "bad guy"?
Now there is: you can file your complaint with WWW.AXELIST.COM !!!
Using the power of the Internet you can get back at the "bad guy" BIG TIME! Ouch!
It may be completely anonymous and you may even make some money doing that!
Go to WWW.AXELIST.COM and tell on them!
WWW.AXELIST.COM - Monitor of the Worst Personal Character?

What scares me most about Axelist is that it appeals to all forms of lowlife, institutionalizes a venue for their basest instincts, and does not put up any measures for moderation or any defenses against abuses. I find some comfort in the fact that people of good sense will not use it and will warn others against it (just as Moneypenny has done).
Thanks Ren. what is even more disturbing is that among the catagories to send hate mail to that they have listed, was “illegal immigrant”.
It’s tempting to go to the site to see what this is all about, but this is exactly what they want you to do. I will NOT be checking it out and I’d suggest to others that they don’t either. (You know what they say about curiousity:-)

Yikes. I agree with Ren. This reminds me of those Web sites where you can “rate” people you know or start rumors via the Internet. Not a good thing. Especially from the anonymity standpoint. It allows libelous and defaming statements without putting the responsibility on anyone.
My exact sentiments. Thanks for posting your opinions.
