Every now and again it is a good idea to have a financial check-up. During this recession, it is an especially good to make good personal finance decisions. CNN Money has a fun little financial health calculator that illustrates your situation.

You start out by entering your age and yearly gross income. Then you fill in information related to your housing payment, debt, emergency fund, asset allocation, company stock, life insurance and retirement savings. After you enter all the information, the calculator tells you whether you are doing enough, and provides tips for improving your financial situation.
