Have You Cut Your Business Trips?

The news is full of stories these days about the effects of high gasoline prices:

People are buying fewer cars, especially trucks and large SUVs;
People are driving less;
Flight prices are increasing;
The price of consumer goods is increasing as companies pass on rising costs for transportation and production.

What I want to know is: Are companies cutting back on business trips because of high fuel prices?

Has travel (by car or plane) become too costly or is the need to see customers and colleagues in person large enough to swamp rising fuel prices?

What are things like at your company? Are business trips being cut?

Interesting fact: The carbon footprint of a family of four flying from London to Los Angeles is the same as your average annual commute to work in the car. (Source: IHT)
