HD-DVD Still Getting Hit, CCity Trading HD-DVD Players for Blu-Ray

Because it wasn’t an insult enough to be pushed around as it is, HD-DVD is getting the snot beat out of them while they’re down and out. Latest episode? Circuit City is letting people who’ve purchased an HD-DVD player in the last 90 days (read: before Christmas) to take their box back with all the accessories included and they will get a shiny new Blu-Ray player. Sadly, HD-DVD discs are not able to be traded in, so those with large collections will have to either suck it up and stick with their “dead” technology or sell them on eBay to get a partial compensation. 2008: Toshiba’s Worst Year EVAR!
