Here are 10 management questions based on popular clichés:

  1. Can you think outside of the box if you work in a shoe store?
  2. If you have 20 cents do you have a real paradigm shift?
  3. If you work for NASA can you really say it’s not rocket science?
  4. If you work in the garmet industry can you push the needle?
  5. Can you touch base if you are not a baseball player?
  6. Do both hunters and managers need to get their ducks in a row?
  7. Do managers and neurologists both work with brain drains?
  8. If you have money in a bank is it better safe than sorry?
  9. If you have a cubicle on the 22nd floor can you ever really have your ear to the ground?
  10. If you are at a corporate golf event is it okay to snatch an extra sleeve of golf balls saying you are taking one for the team?

    ha ha ha— how about these (from my boss):

    1/ can an illusionist “live in a world of perception?”
    2/ if you’re not part of a baseball team, can you still understand “inside baseball?”
    3/ what recourse does a conductor have if “the train has left the station?”
    4/ what sort of competition/meeting are you attending if you “don’t have a dog in this fight?”
    5/ how do you get your data to jibe if you’re “comparing apples to dumptrucks?”
