Helicopter Taxi to Start Operating in Moscow
Helicopter taxi service is expected to start operating in the Central Federal District of Russia in September 2008, according to a protocol signed by the UTair Airline CEO Andrei Martirosov and Head of the Helicopter Industry Association, President of CJSC Russian Helicopter Systems Mikhail Kazachkov.
“In September it is planned to start flights from six helipads located near the Moscow Ring Road”, Mr. Kazachkov marks. He says that flights above Moscow are prohibited and therefore, flights will be carried out only in the direction of the Moscow Province.
Mr. Kazachkov has not specified how much the flights will cost due to “here it is needed to take many factors into account and at the moment it is hard to give the exact cost”.
