Help for Addicted Gamers

Do you lose sleep worrying about what your online friends are doing and what you might be missing?gaming chick

Do you think about what you’re going to do online when you’re offline?

Is your work at well…work or school suffering because of all the time you spend online?

If you answered yes to those questions then you just might have an internet/gaming addiction.

Have no fear my little gaming fiends,  reSTART is here to help and for the low-low price of $16,000.

The program, based out of Washington, promises to give gaming and internet addicts a “family-style retreat where its participants can have an internet and video-game-free therapeutic experience”.

Cozy.

I joke, but there is apparently a need for this type of program.

Just take the case of a 26 year old guy from China who died back in 2007 after played video games for seven days straight and then died. There’s also the case of the Korean StarCraft gamer who died back in 2005 after playing the wildly popular game for 50 hours straight.

Obviously, those two cases are the exception and not the rule when it comes to gaming and gaming addictions but they are both cautionary tales in what can happen if the addiction takes over your life.

If you have a problem, get help.

Maybe you don’t need to fly out to Washington to get that help since there are tons of counselors and shrinks in just about every town in the US, but do get help.

Believe it or not, no game is worth dying over.
