Help! I Don’t Know What Day It Is…

Unless you have a form of dementia or other mental disease, it shouldn’t be hard to keep track of the day, right? At least, if you don’t know the exact date, you should be able to get close and be able to tell others the day of the week. Right? RIGHT?

Thank god I carry my calendar/schedule with me just about everywhere. The other day I nearly drank milk that was over a week outdated, because I really thought that it was still good. I also regularly miss garbage and recycling days because I forget the day of the week. I think I need to get out more!

Other signs that you’ve been freelancing waaaaaaaay too much (and yes, I do/have done them all):

• You forget to eat dinner because you’re working on a deadline, only to be reminded by the cat clawing your leg because she’s hungry.
• You look up from the screen to realize that you haven’t showered in two days.
• You don’t shovel the snow from your driveway because you don’t really need to go anywhere.
• You find yourself eating a block of cheese, a bag of chocolate covered pretzels, and pickles for lunch because that’s all you have in the house. Who has time for groceries when you have blogging to do?
• Laundry day is more like laundry week.

Like I said, it’s a good thing I carry my schedule with me almost everywhere!
