Help With the Juggle — Administrative Outsourcing for Real Life

bills taxes demand debt frustration (www.bizchicksrule.com) — Being a woman in a male-dominated industry has certain benefits. We women often have different perspectives and insights. Lending those to our male colleagues provides for a better product and experience for our customers.

I’ve spent my entire career in the insurance industry. My family business is the Davis & Towle Agency, one of the most respected insurance agencies in New Hampshire. Over the years, I have realized that many people are intimidated by complexities of my industry and others. They’re frustrated doing basic research to determine how to best meet needs for themselves and their families. And, completing detailed paperwork can often be daunting and time-consuming.

Most people are simply too busy to spend hours researching or filling out complicated forms. They’d much rather spend their time, well, doing anything else!

I was meeting many people – both personally and professionally – who confessed that they were having trouble juggling all of their responsibilities – working, taking care of their children, taking care of their aging parents, housework, and so forth. Managing their personal finances was just another task on a never-ending to-do list.

Here’s where the special insight of a woman comes in. While I am managing my family, am a dedicated spouse, and have raised our daughters, another pressing need arises in my life – my aging mother needs someone to manage her finances, make important decisions about her medical care and coverage, and help her with day-to-day needs.

I’m not the only person needing to juggle many balls in the air. That’s when I embarked on the idea of New England AccountAbility, an online professional bill-paying and financial-management service.

I knew there was a real need, and that a variety of people could benefit from this type of company, including:

  • People who are busy with their careers and family, who don’t want to spend their precious spare time worrying about insurance policies and bill-payment schedules.
  • The elderly, who may no longer be able to handle their own finances, and may be unable to manage complicated health insurance claims, but don’t want to burden their loved ones with this task.
  • People with disabilities, who may need help with changing insurance needs and management of their finances.
  • The temporarily or chronically ill, who are often overwhelmed with their changing insurance and financial situation, on top of their illness, diagnosis and treatment.
  • Blended families learning to combine their finances.
  • Adult children living hundreds of miles away from their aging – yet independently living – parents, and who need to assist their parents in managing finances.

Our professional staff handles clients’ monthly bill payments, manages insurance policies and associated paperwork, and keeps careful records of all financial transactions. Every account is handled with trust, integrity and complete confidentiality. Our clients feel secure and worry-free, knowing that their financial transactions are being expertly handled by professionals with significant experience.

Clients have access to a secure website, where they can view their account information at any time. We also provide quarterly statements that outline every transaction.

In addition to the financial services that we provide, New England AccountAbility staff members can also assist family members with coordinating end-of-life details, such as assembling final documents, including death certificates, death-benefits claims, and other information as necessary.

We understand that information security is a huge concern, and our clients’ information is stored in one safe place. Nothing is ever outsourced, which protects clients from identity theft. New England AccountAbility is bonded, as well.
