High Stakes Poker Database

I found a pretty cool site online a few weeks ago called the High Stakes Poker Database, which contains a listing of the biggest hand ever played online. They list who played the hand, how much was won/lost, and even have a simulator that replays the hand’s action as it went down.

This hand ranks as the biggest pot ever pulled down online, which was a heads up table. The pot was $465,451. Not bad for a day’s work.

The hand is a little ridiculous when you actually watch it, as the players who loses seems to try to represent a hand that obviously doesn’t make it (I figured he had a flush draw early on, but the draw hits on the river and he still doesn’t win). Perhaps he also flopped trips with a weaker kicker.

Anyhow, there’s a pretty nice database there of all kinds of big online action hands. Worth stabbing around a bit.
