Highest Demand Pilots Never Leave the Ground

Who are the highest demand pilots in aviation today? Hint… they never leave the ground. Pilots who fly (?) the MQ-1B Predator UAVs have flown over 27,000 hours in the past year supporting missions around the globe.

“There’s no sprinting here,” Colonel Bannon said. “We’re on a marathon, and I’m trying to get us through 26 miles without breaking the squadron, (our drones) and the careers of 180 people.”

Recently UAVs have also been flying missions closer to home with UAVs performing damage assessment in hurricane damaged areas.
