Staff Calls Rating “Presidential-like” And Says It Proves Clinton Should Be Democratic Nominee

The latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll shows Hillary Clinton’s positive rating has dropped to 37%, the lowest level since two months after she was elected Senator.

Ms. Clinton’s campaign staff was quick to pounce on the good news saying it showed the Senator had “Presidential-like” poll numbers and should be the party’s nominee in the fall.

Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson was gleeful as he met with reporters and noted, “It took George W. Bush nearly seven years to achieve the kind of low poll numbers Hillary has posted even before being nominated.”

Wolfson suggested this was a direct result of the experience Ms. Clinton had developed during her husband’s administration and added, “Obama couldn’t put up these kind of numbers if he tried. Americans have come to expect constant spin, vindictiveness and outright lying from their President and we firmly believe Hillary is the right candidate to deliver on these expectations.”
