The Hockey Guantlet Has Been Thrown!

Jeremy is definitely talking some trash regarding Canada vs. United States in Olympic hockey. Of course he’s got the ability to given Canada’s win in the last winter Olympics over the US. But that doesn’t seem to bother the United States Olympic coach that much.
Honestly, I’ve never been much of a fan of hockey, probably for many of the reasons Jeremy mentions. I was living in Nashville, TN and thought my chance to begin to appreciate the sport would occur when the Predators came to town. The Predators seem to be having a great season this year as well.
It doesn’t look like many other teams are really worried about the US chances this year either, the US team is ranked as a 6th seed in the games.
“Being the underdog puts less pressure on you,” Laviolette told Reuters in an interview at a Hurricanes practice in Raleigh.
Either way, I’m a huge fan of the Olympic games, so I’ll enjoy this little rivarly and maybe this will be another opportunity for me to learn a little more about the game of soccer on ice.
Bring it on Jeremy!

So… the CANADIAN coach for the US team, eh? Wasn’t it enough to import the players?! ;-)
