The Holiday Season may not be here quite yet, but the weather is certainly creeping in.  And who knows how to keep warm better than Canadians?  The 2009 Double Gold Medal winner, Canadian Mist, has a few drink ideas that are sure to warm you up and pump you up for the Holiday Season.

Mist-Cider1

Canadian Cider

  • 1 bottle (750mL) Canadian Mist
  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 5 cups ginger ale
  • 3 cups brewed tea
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole oranges, sliced and studded with cloves

Mix all ingredients together in a large kettle.  Heat until steaming, but do not boil.  Pour into a heat-resistant pitcher or punch bowl.  Serve warm.  Makes 45, 5-oz servings

Are warm drinks really not your thing?  Or do you have more of a sweet tooth?

Then give the Chocolate Mist a shot.

Chocolate-Mist

  • 2 parts Canadian Mist
  • 1 part Dark Crème De Cocoa
  • ½ part Hazelnut Liqueur

Place all of the above in a shaker and strain into a martini glass rimmed with cocoa and sugar as an option. Garnish with a cherry.
