See, this is why YouTube needs better analytics. The current system just leaves so much room for uncertainty. A system where success and failure are dictated by views should not leave room for uncertainty about views.

Consider this fan-made video for Brazilian band CSS’s Music is My Hot Hot Sex suddenly getting a preposterous 89,791,498 views, easily beating the one-year-older Evolution of Dance as the most-viewed YouTube video of all time.
Andy Baio suspects an error, because of multiple statistical improbabilities. Marshall Kirkpatrick thinks it just might be legit, because YouTube is international and the song is in an iPod Touch ad. What do you think of this Hot Hot Sex?
