Hovis Go On Lad

I like this – it’s fun playing spot the historical reference (via Creativity) as the 122 second ad journeys through 122 years of history. It’s also on Hovis’ site, (which is annoying in its inconsistency.)

Let’s see if I can spot the references:

1886 – Hovis founded
1912 – Titanic’s first and last voyage.
1912ish – Suffragette Movement
1914 – World War I
The first cars (I think in the 20’s)
1940 Blitz/World War II/Churchill’s Never Surrender speech
1953 Queen’s Coronation
1966 England’s World Cup Win. Increased immigration/multiculturism
1984-85 – Miner’s Strike
2000/1 – Millennium celebrations
