How can you use PR to sell a house

First, you need to know, I am NOT a real estate agent or broker. (And in this market, I am very grateful for that.)
However, I am selling my house. It’s a beautiful 1853 Victorian brownstone in Albany, NY. And as an experiment, I’ve been using some PR techniques that many real estate professionals use, as well as a couple of my own, to get the word out:
- I bought a keyword-rich domain name and created a small website for it.
- I’ve been posting on craigslist. I’ve written several different promotional ads and posting them on various days and times.
- I’ve used a cool free real estate feature called postlets.
- I’ve created a virtual tour using Photobucket.
- I’ve created fliers and postcards to hand out to people who may know people looking to move.
Now, I’, trying to come up with an idea for a press release… but am coming up blank. Perhaps a pitch on selling in a bad economy may work, but I want something meatier.
What do you think? Do you have any ideas I should be using?

I don’t think any of your potential buyers will be reading press releases? Perhaps you’ve already done all you could and now it’s time to just sell?
