Let me repeat the question:
How do you feel about watching 1000 hours of live coverage of the Summer Olympics?
I’m sure your initial reaction will be, “FINALLY!”
NBC Universal is looking into positioning a live-stream between 800 to 1000 hours of coverage of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Note that this is on top of the already planned 800 hours on cable and 200 hours on the network.
Though there’s still no “hard announcement” regarding this matter, by merely thinking of the possibility of it becoming a reality is something we all can look forward to. It is definitely more practical to tune into NBC rather than flying across the globe, a good 6,000 miles, just to get a your fill of the Games.
So, yea — this is definitely good news for all US Olympic Fans since they get to access real-time broadband Olympic Games coverage.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed then! Let’s hope that they’d be able to strike a deal with them advertisers to make this thing real.

It will be interesting to see if they can pull this off, I hope it works!
True. True.
I share the same sentiment. :)
