How Grip Affects Your Weight Lifting

Grip counts big time when you’re lifting weights. How it does is common sense when you stop and think about it. One example is when you’re using weight lifting gloves, you’re not going to have the same control over weight. The same goes for lifting thicker bars. The more distance between you and the weight you’re lifting, the less you’ll be able to lift.
If you find some gyms easier than others to lift at, this might help explain why.
The last two sessions I’ve been lifting heavy which is a stark contrast to what I said I would do. I’ve had the urge to go heavy for curls and bench press so I just went with it. I’ve also been running for long times at night to help slim down. I don’t think I’ve lost any weight, but I do feel like I’ve toned up some.
Today, I was going to go for 306 on bench but never got the chance as the trainer was tied up. I waited about 15 minutes before giving up and going to 256. It was probably for the better. I got 1×5, 1×3, and 1×2 before continuing with the rest of my workout.
I feel tired, but I may go ahead and try to get in some short, quick runs before going to bed.
Tomorrow will be a big time leg day where I’ll be looking to log over 2.5 hours.
