I feel your pain! I too, did due diligence to try to learn about advertising on BING and landed here - no other info available. Guess the safe bet is to stick with Google, sad as it sounds

I gets more interesting. Found the page through your screenshot and followed it all the way to signup. However, NOTHING happens when I click Signup. I'm on Safari och Mac OSX. Either they have disabled signups for Mac users or the whole thing is still very much in beta...

This is hilarious! I was searching for the same thing, namely how to advertise on bing and ended up on your site.

At least I can now type in the address from your screenshot. You would think bing would have a small link in their footer saying "advertise" or something like that.

Hi Stephen - found this via Google :-)

I wrote a similar article on my blog (no link cos it's in a different language) and stared getting hits on it via the search engines.

However, as with yours, the article was about how I "couldn't figure it out" so I thought I'd Google it again today for the benefit of my new visitors (actually giving them the info they are searching for).

The problem I found was trying to figure out how to advertise in languages other than English and French (which I think are the only options available now - not sure).

Well, I thought I'd leave a comment on yours - it seems even English speakers are finding this difficult! :-)

I was hoping the Yahoo - MS deal was going to make things easier on the advertising front - but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Regards,
Ricardo

For a week I have been trying to get some advertising to work on Bing. This is quite an undertaking. I wanted to compare costs and hits with my add campaign on Google. To make it a fair comparison, I entered the exact same key words and the same bids.
After three days and several phone calls with Microsoft, following was the result: Google had impressions = 7500. Bing = 105.
During the phone calls with Microsoft to find out why I did not get any more impressions, the answer was that my keywords had such a low volume so they were not inserted. I told Microsoft that if I used my keywords "Roman Coins" or "Greek Coins" other adds showed up. Now I got the answer that my bid was not high enough. I answered that on Google you get a lower position on the page. Your add is not ignored. Microsoft told me thats how Bing works. If Microsoft wants to make money on Bing, they better advertise at any price. I still believe that Bing has a program bug even if they do not want to tell me.
I will stay with Google. Forget about Bing. It is useless. By the way, the sugestion I got was to raise my bid from 0.10 to 1.20. Thats not how I save money.
