news-herald-hand-social-medWhether you use Twitter or Facebook or even LinkedIn, you can supply news via social media of things that are happening in your industry. Or you may choose to share about news your have read from other sources. If you do choose to do this, make sure that you credit them as a source.

To help you determine if you can be a news supplier for social media outlets, I have created a short list below:

  • Being an early adapter to new social media tools that you can report on
  • Have a blog or website where you share information about social media on a consistent basis
  • In-the-know about new social media efforts or events and can report about them
  • Understand trending in the social media arena and know how to generate reports that would be helpful to readers

To better understand how you can become a social media news supplier, watch the video below that talk about how to be a social media change agent.
