In this edition of How To, we take a look at a way to spruce up your PS3, and give it a unique touch. Sure there are plenty of free wallpapers and themes in the PlayStation Store, but there are even more spread across the internet. And some of them are quite awesome. But how do you install them? Well, it’s quite easy, and you just have to follow these few, simple steps.

1. To start, open up your PS3 web browser. You’re going to have to search around a bit for a theme you like. A good place to look is the NeoGAF message board, which includes my current theme.
2. Once you’ve found something you like, put the cursor over it and press triangle. From here you can choose to save the file to your PS3.
3. Once the theme has been save, you can install it like any other theme. Simply exit the browser, go to the Settings option on the Cross Media Bar, and choose Theme Settings. You should find your newly downloaded theme under the Theme option. Simply select Apply, and your done.
What’s great about custom themes and wallpapers is that there is a seemingly endless supply, which means that there is a good chance you will find something that tickles your fancy. Whether it’s HD re-imaginings of classic games, or pretty much anything else, you’ll find it.
