How to Write a Book Proposal

Yesterday I was struck with an idea for a new book. This morning the idea was still exciting enough that I decided to start drafting a book proposal.

This isn’t the first book proposal I’ve written, but it’s been several years. After I got the title page, and a working table of contents down in a file, my mind went blank! I knew I’d need a sample chapter or two. I knew I’d need a market study, and a statement about why I’m the very best person to write this book, but I couldn’t remember what came first.

Then I remembered I’d written an ebook about book proposals. It’s called How to Write a Non-Fiction Book Proposal that $ells! It’s based on my experience selling several books over the years and I’ve heard from several people who used the ebook to sell their book to publishers and agents.

So I opened it, and there was all the info I needed. It’s a real trip to use my own material this way.

You can get your own copy of How to Write a Non-Fiction Book Proposal that $ells! It’s also part of my affiliate program which offers 50% for every copy you sell.

I’ll let you know how the new proposal goes.
