Hulu Blog Flamed!

I’ve never seen any service trashed so severely in the first few days of its private beta. Check out the 300+ comments on the Hulu blog post announcing the beta. Choice cuts:
“This site is even worse than its name.”
“Hey Hulu…. Apple wants their font back.”
“Oh goody. An utterly backward and almost totally useless offering from NBC.”
“Hope you enjoyed my cash from iTunes because you won’t be getting it here.”
“The only way Hulu makes any sense is if Zucker works for The Pirate Bay.”
“Do you care about your consumers? You don’t have to answer that, you already have.”
“Take a tip from Microsoft; when video is copied, you should be happy if it is yours.”
“Piracy works outside of the US, Hulu does not. I guess I’ll have to stick with piracy.”
“This site should be called Xenophobia. Not only would it suck less than the name hulu, but it would be an accurate description of your approach to locking out international viewers.”
“And, now, remind me how I get this content on my iPhone or iPod like I could with iTunes? Oh, I can’t? Rating: zero.”
Much to Jeff Zucker’s chagrin, I doubt anyone’s chucking their iPods for Scrubs. Hulu may not know how to do online video, but they sure know how to flamebait. Now go over to their blog post and join the barbecue. ;)

And now they’ve deleted the worst of the flames. Lame! If they can’t take the heat, they should get out of the kitchen!
The worst of the flames? They’re deleted *all* of them. The only “complaints” left is about how this fantastic system isn’t available outside the US yet.
Whoa, you’re right. What a bunch of wussies!
Make peace, not war!
Hulu is great if you like shows from two big networks, but there’s so much more out there for free … check out Modern Feed (www.modernfeed.com) for a much wider selection.
