    I really can’t abide these cheapskate hacks, and I’m never sure whether to feel sorry for the new writers who fall for them or smack them in the head. Perhaps both?

    Really, if gaining exposure is what you want, go find a nice little free web hosting service. Put up a site with your writing on it, add adsense or some other advertising, and start building your own readership. Get “exposure” and earn a little while you’re at it. (Emphasis on little, at least at first.) It’s more work, but you don’t come off looking dumb.

    Oh, how I hate this type of stuff. The sad part is, a lot of people will fall for it and think it’s the best thing ever.
