I Dare You To Dream

I dare you to dream as we navigate these challenging times! For so many, with the holidays quickly approaching and the economy seemingly spiraling out of control. I dare you to dream!
“Many people dream of success. To me, success can be achieved only through repeated failure and introspection. In fact, success represents the 1 percent of your work that results from the 99 percent that is called failure.”
– Soichiro Honda
One of my students asked me about my blog today. The student wanted to know what I talk about on my blog with all of the turmoil going on with employment. I want you to know, I am not interested in writing about how bad things are. I am not interested in shouting as loud as the traditional media is shouting about the economy. I want you to come here to Interview Chatter and read that there is hope in the midst of hopelessness. There are jobs in the midst of a tight economy and there is success in the midst of failure. Whatever you are going through in the madness of your world, you can still be successful in America and even beyond our shores.
Jim Rohn, author and professional speaker, said “If you’re not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.”
Make it a great day!

As always, well put. I am finding your blog shift to career encouragement enlightening over the last few days. I think that step one for all of this is really finding what people are good at. People have more of an impact in areas where they are naturally talented. I think one of the largest obstacles for people is seeing past what they believe than can make money at, getting out of that narrow view and start looking at their talents. Once those are observed and carefully reviewed, those can be applied across a wide number of careers. People will be amazed if/when they do the process of self evaluation, what they can actually accomplish.
Hi Jason, Thanks for stopping by. I go through seasons like this – seasons of encouragement and coaching. I will be shifting back as we move into December. There have been lots of people reading these posts about dreaming. I love this part of your comment: “People have more of an impact in areas where they are naturally talented. I think one of the largest obstacles for people is seeing past what they believe than can make money at, getting out of that narrow view and start looking at their talents. Once those are observed and carefully reviewed, those can be applied across a wide number of careers. Hi, found this in the middle of the chat…. I’ll be back to read more of your posts. This one is great!
Hi Michelle,
Thank you for stopping by Interview Chatter tonight. You are more than welcome to visit any time. Please let me know if you have any questions.
FINALY!!! Someone who understands that what you speak is what will be. Thank You for giving me hope that I am not the only “loony toon” that thinks there is hope for this country. The media is brain washing everyone into believing that this is it, this is as good as it gets. What really gets me is that people actually speak it into reality. What gets me is how WEAK this country is becoming. Work for yourself. Dont watch that garbage on T.V
Hi Jessie, Thanks for stopping by bizzia Careers. I am glad you found me! I do believe that there is power in our words. We can literally create the world around by the words we speak out of our mouth. This country is not going anywhere and the foolish that we see playing on the stage of this country will end. More intelligent people with a passion for this country will prevail over the foolishness that we see today! I look forward to seeing the recovery. Feel free to stop by again.
