I have fallen to the black (now white) death
My cousin got me all excited about him getting an Xbox 360 that I decided to go and get one myself. I paid way too much since I had to get a core version but whatever. It was on a credit card that I’m paying off anyways – so what, life sucks! Credit’s awesome!
Anywhooo…
I’m having a lot of fun with it. The Xbox Live Arcade is great. I’ve downloaded a trial version of every game and surprisingly enough, they aren’t just upgraded versions of flash shite.
There’s a couple of gems in there – this one that I’m having a great time with is Outpost Kaloki X. The name is ridiculous but it’s a fun little time-waster. It’s a space station sim and it plays like Lemonade Tycoon only faster.
Also, I think the demo download service is a real winner (although it takes a long time to download). I downloaded the Quake 4 and Condemned demos and tonight I’m going to download the Fight Night demo. I’m not a big FPS fan (shooting things over and over again is just as fun as eating suicide beans with murder gravy!) but the first two demos were alright. I had a fun time with them. I haven’t heard anything but hopefully the Fight Night demo has some sort of online multiplayer with it like Quake 4 does.
Here’s my GamerTag link. Please add me as a friend. “That would be a nice gesture,” says your mom.*
On a sidenote, playing Condemned (and Resident Evil 4 last year) has made me realize that I just can’t play scary games anymore. Right off the bat – with both games – my heart is beating out of my chest (really annoying seeing as my chest guards my insides from germs and the sniffles) and I can’t even keep myself composed. I’ve come to grips with the fact that I just can’t deal with hallways in games. It makes me too anxious.
*as opposed to farting** in my face – that would be a naughty gesture
**FARTS ARE HILARIOUS!!!
