ICEEBits, A Cool Brand Extension

Here’s a cool new brand extension (pardon the pun). J&J Snackfoods introduced a new form of its popular ICEE squeeze tube and slushy frozen treats. Now, ICEE will come in frozen bits too as ICEEBits. Looks like this is the ICEE version of Dippin’ Dots in terms of the form.
Overall, I think ICEEBits looks like a good idea. Kids should be intrigued by the new ICEE form and are likely to want to try it. I know I’m curious.
ICEEBits will hit stores in single-serve 5-ounce cups on March 31, 2008 in four flavors – Cotton Candy, Cherry Burst, Blue Raspberry and Cherry Cola.
What do you think? Does this one have a chance for success?

I want to try them! I think it might be right up my kids alley too. You know, I’ve never tried the Dippin’ Dots and always wondered…I’ll put them on the list now.
I have been trying to find a store that carries your Icee push pops. Could you please let me know where I can find them. I live in Roxboro, NC. Thank you.
I had the chance to taste this product with my kids at my husband’s annual tradeshow. I was very disappointed at the taste. My kids love another ice cream that looks similar and were hoping it would taste the same. Maybe they’ll get the taste eventually right though.
I did not like them! Why are they trying to imitate Dip n Dots? Be ORIGINAL-it’s been done with a better tawsting product.
