wimpy (FranchisePick.ComYou say you’ve got a tax rebate coming next Tuesday, but you want a hamburger today?  Your pocket’s ripe for the pickin, sez Tax Girl:

In her post Don’t Get Scammed: Important Tax Rebate Information, Tax Girl Kelly Erb says:  “The only way that you can “speed up” your tax rebate is to file your 2007 taxes early and request direct deposit on that tax form. Do not listen to scam artists that promise an early rebate by any other method.

Also keep in mind that tax rebates will be mailed in May. Any person or company that promises you a rebate prior to May is not being honest…”

Check out the rest of the post and other great tax-time tips over at Tax Girl.

When Tuesday comes, you might be able to afford that side of fries you’ve had your eye on.

Thanks, Tax Girl!

  1. IRS says:

Michael Minns said it best in his debate with former IRS Commissioner on MSNBC, the IRS and the tax code itself is corrupt to begin with, and is meant to serve those who control the system, who set it up in the first place. The big bankers and corporate conglomerates have set up the perfect underground tunnel into the pockets of the poor and middle themselves. We pay, they end up with the money quickly thereafter via a system of false divisions.
