I’m Moving To Syracuse

In Toronto we have an annual Beer Fest, which is a weekend of binge drinking. It’s odd, but I have never been. I always seem to be out of town that weekend. This past year, I didn’t go because I was saving my liver for a trip to Boston the week later. I think celebrating beer for an entire weekend is a great idea.
Until I found out that other cites do an entire week of it. Syracuse NY has the Syracuse Beer Week. A whole week of beer drinking! The even have a gala!! Imagine…putting on a cocktail dress, some strappy sandals and drinking pints all night. It’s so classy! Put me down for Syracuse Beer Week next year. Anyone want to do a road trip?
I was seriously thinking about moving to Syracuse even before I heard about beer week. I’m actually a root beer kind of girl, but I bet they have really good brats, too.
Anyway, the reason I started looking around is because I saw an entire house for $1000 on eBay! It’s a repo and will probably need work, but imagine an entire house with a tenth of an acre for $1000. If you’re really thinking about going for the week, you could buy a house for about what it would cost you to stay in a hotel. Insane, huh?
