Indiana Savings Time

This next weekend marks the beginning of Daylight Savings Time in the United States. Most of the nation historically “springs ahead” and hour but until this year, Indiana has not. Indiana has been the one state in the union that has refused to adopt DST but this year, finally, they have complied. Indiana, we are the borg…. you will be assimilated.
While this is a welcome news economically, functionally and in general, common-sensically, Indiana I.T. managers are bracing for a disaster of Y2K-really-happening proportions. Wired magazine has a story about how businesses that, specifically, use Exhange/Outlook for calendaring and meetings are facing a high risk of problems with time setting and meeting management.
Missing a meeting? Seems like a good problem to have.

I thought Arizona was another state that avoided the whole Daylight Savings deal?
. I had no idea. Why do these states do such bizarre things?
To keep us on our toes and make interstate commerce difficult.
