Infiniti G Convertible: Own the Sky

The all-new Infiniti G Convertible has launched a multi-platform marketing campaign — “Own the Sky.” The campaign includes interactive online components on websites such as Yahoo, MSN, CNET, Hulu, NY Magazine, KBB.com and Edmunds.com. The effort also includes both print and TV spots.

For a full day on Yahoo, the sun from the homepage’s weather icon is inspired to literally move across the page as the G Convertible’s hardtop roof retracts. Another rich media experience enables users to be their own DJs, using stars in the sky to mash up a mix of their favorite jams, a hat tip to the G Convertible’s revolutionary sound system.

“With its beautiful design, performance that inspires you to drive and an unbeatable open top experience, the Infiniti G Convertible allows you to “own the sky,” said Ben Poore, vice president of Infiniti. “We bring that experience to life in our innovative marketing campaign by going beyond traditional advertising. By leveraging new, customized technologies that create unique and personalized Infiniti experiences, the “Own the Sky” campaign raises awareness among our core target audience in a very meaningful way.”

The convertible features a retractable hardtop, Bose Open Air Sound system and an adaptive climate control system. It’s on sale now at Infiniti dealers around the country. The campaign’s launch was timed to coincide with the official beginning of summer.

Infiniti will also be the exclusive sponsor of Twittorati. Twittorati is a new site that combines Technorati functionality with Twitter. Twittorati will feature obvious Infiniti branding and G Convertible creatives.
