Injury update – January 15

medical-bag.jpgWith the conference battles well underway, many teams are having some major injury problems. Here are some of the latest injury updates from around the NCAA:

California small forward Theo Robertson will take a redshirt this season after he decided his left hip had not healed enough after off-season surgery. Robertson was already questionable to play this season, and this decision should come as no surprise to Golden Bears fans.

Arkansas guard Patrick Beverley suffered a dislocated jaw in the Razorbacks’ victory over Alabama on Saturday but should be available to play against South Carolina on Wednesday.

Drake guard Josh Young suffered a sprained right ankle against Indiana State last week and will be out of action indefinitely. The loss of Young, who is the leading scorer in the Missouri Valley Conference, will definitely put a damper on the Bulldogs hot start, as they sit atop the MVC with a stellar 14-1 record (5-0 in conference).
