I can believe this woman is having success by aligning herself with Oprah - that is a powerful brand. I like your idea of mentoring a start up as well as the Mastermind group. I have been mentored by a great business coach and am part of a Mastermind group. They are great vehicles to help me stay clear on my vision and where I want to go. In July, I will be launching "moment-is" an online community that specializes in "in the moment" tools to help people de-stress in the moment throughout their day.
