If you use WordPress to manage your website, then there are many plugins that you can add which will enable you to integrate social media. By integrating social media, its will encourage your web visitors to interact with your website.
The purpose of integrating social media into your website is to allow your web visitors to share your website content on Twitter, Facebook or even Digg. By allowing them to share your content, this could build web traffic to your website and enhance your online presence.
Below are a few WordPress plugin that can help you integrate social media into your website:
- TweetMeme: according to their website, Tweetmeme is a service which aggregates all the popular links on twitter to determine which links are popular. Tweetmeme is able to categorize these links into categories and subcategories, making it easy to filter out the noise to find what your interested in.
- Tweet This: Adds a “Tweet This Post” link to every post and page. Shortens URLs in advance through Th8.us, eating up only 19 of 140 characters. Also included: Plurk, Yahoo Buzz, Delicious, Digg, Ping.fm, Reddit, and StumbleUpon.
- ShareThis: The ShareThis WordPress plugin provides a simple way for users to add your post to many social bookmarking sites, or to send a link to your post via email, AIM, Facebook, Twitter and more.
- Sociable: Automatically add links to your favorite social bookmarking sites on your posts, pages and in your RSS feed. You can choose from 99 different social bookmarking sites!
