Check out this Utube 6.5 minute video called How to Get Hired – Job Interview Tactics. Very interesting information about 4 different types of interviewers you may encounter during the hiring process.

Gut Instinct Interviewer – They make a their hiring decisions based on their first impression. Their gut feeling about you.

Personal and Feeling Interviewer – Interested in your personal values and your character. They want to know how you think and feel.

Conversational Interviewer – Easy going conversationalist that may make you drop your guard. Relationship builders. They tend to be informal in their approach.

Behavior Based Interviewers – Lots of questions about your past work experience.

Very interesting power-point presentation about the how to prepare for the types of interviewers you may meet along the way.

Note:I had one concern with the power-point presentation Frank Furness presented. When he spoke about the Behavior Based Interviewer he mentioned that these people are analytical. Behavior Based Interviewers can be from any and every personality type, not just analytical. Today, most medium to large organizations use Behavior Based Interviews to ensure that your skills and abilities meet the expectations of the hiring manager.
