It has already started.

The IOC Evaluation Commission is now making its rounds on all three bid cities, PyeongChang, Sochi, and Salzburg. They’re almost finished with the first city.

In each city, the Evaluation Commission will have an in-depth look into 17 different themes such as transport, accommodation, technology, media operations, environment and meteorology, finance, security, sport and venues and Olympic village(s). The findings – obtained through briefings and on-site visits – will be summarised in a technical report which will be published and submitted to all IOC members no later than one month before the election of the Host City. This will take place on 4 July 2007 during the 119th IOC Session in Guatemala City.

The dates for the evaluation tour are as follows:

PyeongChang
14-17 February 2007

Sochi
20-23 February 2007

Salzburg
14-17 March 2007

I wonder just how much these cities want it. Hmmm. I wonder how far they can bend.. Haha. We’ll see.
