Is it possible that the Internet will be hurting small businesses?

I just read an interesting story from the BBC that we could run out of Internet bandwidth by 2010.

Not sure if it’s true or not, but it’s something to keep in mind, especially if you are starting up the next big Internet company (think Google, Facebook, etc.)

And it could be a major problem for companies like mine that sell products and services via the Net – and use the internet each and every day.

What does this mean to a small business owner right now? Maybe it’s time to start planning some more traditional ways of getting your information to your target market.

It reminds me of what happened to me last week, when neighborhood lost power for three hours. I was useless, since I relied on the computer and Internet to do my work. (Well, I did get some laundry folded!) I’ve learned that I need to still think about having things available without a computer and internet connection.

Rico over at Contract Worker shares some ideas on what to do when there isn’t an Internet connection.Take a look and see what you can incorporate to make your world less virtual.
