Is it Time for a New Workout Program?

If you’re still doing the same workout program you were three months ago, it’s probably time to get a new program.  Workout programs are specialized sets of exercises planned out to achieve particular goals.  For example, you may have a program for losing weight, adding power, or building speed.

A short workout plan will fall between 3-4 weeks.  A medium to extended workout plan will go between 6-8 weeks.  After two months in a plan, you usually want to switch gears into a different plan.  After two months, your muscles will become adapted to the training and you will probably have extracted the most from your two weeks of specialized exercise.  With this in mind, it’s time to change things up.

The reason you’re constantly changing your workout schedule, sets, reps, timing, exercises, and other factors is because your body will react more positively when constantly met with different and new challenges.
